（中央社賴比瑞亞蒙羅維亞17日綜合外電報導）西非3國飽受伊波拉病毒肆虐，從醫療用品到醫療人員全都非常匱乏。賴比瑞亞醫療人力不足，許多病患甚至得留在救護車等病床或回家，使得疫情繼續擴大。

賴比瑞亞首都蒙羅維亞的報案中心人員表示，就他所知，蒙羅維亞至少有30人沒有被送往治療中心，有些病患被送到醫院，但這些院所沒有治療伊波拉的能力。

他說：「有一天，我們將一些病重病患送往某個治療中心，但因為中心已經無法收容新病人，我們得讓這些病患留在救護車內6小時。」

能搭上救護車的還算幸運，許多人染病後待在家中無人救援。

官員警告，無法就醫的病患常常是被送回家中，結果又將病毒傳給親人與鄰居。

美國官員希望數週內在賴比瑞亞開設一批新的治療中心，但不知道人員與設備何時能送達。賴比瑞亞讚揚美國的援助計畫，但也特別指出，這些援助都還沒有實現。
