導演林超賢向來會「虐待」演員，在新片《魔警》中，讓吳彥祖又撞又飛，還必須從三層樓高跳下來，全都要求他親身來，難怪許多人看了之後，都認為如此搏命的吳彥祖，有希望爭影帝。

吳彥祖在《魔警》中拍攝了許多危險鏡頭，一場天橋槍戰的戲，一個爆炸場面，他必須被吊著鋼絲，直接以肉身飛起撞車，由於林超賢安排以正面拍攝，因此吳彥祖全都得親身上陣，當場他被鋼絲甩到車子的擋風玻璃上，再彈到地面，霎時擋風玻璃被撞得整個碎開，衝擊力之強，令所有人倒抽一口氣，但吳彥祖仍堅持自己來。

之後，林超賢又安排吳彥祖從三層樓高的招牌上，往車速極快的高架橋上跳，林超賢透露，那座高架橋因是香港的交通要道，不能封橋拍攝，所以只能要求吳彥祖，趁著橋上沒車的空檔趕快跳，讓吳彥祖內心也非常緊張。

他在現場一再問導演：「真的要跳嗎？」見林超賢點點頭，也只好咬牙爬上招牌，再發狠往下跳，還來來回回跳了好多次，身手一流，勇氣及筋骨都相當令人佩服，果然付出有代價，《魔警》在香港上映後，大家都看好他有望爭影帝。
