日本交流協會表示，日本連日大雪，櫻花可能遲開，呼籲有意赴日賞櫻的民眾，密切留意花期預測。

網站「weathermap」早前預測，今年由於西日本冬天相當寒冷，櫻花可能提早開花。不過最近日本連日大雪，日本交流協會表示，如果低溫持續太久，可能使花期延後，建議打算赴日賞櫻的民眾，密切關注weathermap或日本氣象協會網站的櫻花預測。
