就讀新北市私立中華中學的17歲陳姓少年，利用暑假到新北市土城區永和街某機械加工廠打工貼補家用，不料23日上午疑因操作機器不慎，右前臂被捲入機器絞斷，經送醫急救，雖無生命危險，但傷口受創嚴重，手臂難以接回，可能因此終身殘障，也讓原本家境不佳的陳家雪上加霜。
