律師的責任、義務

我因為和房東有糾紛
所以請了一位律師要和他打官司
錢也給律師了
但這位律師除了幫我們寫起訴狀和存證信函外
其他事情他都說他們沒辦法幫我們處理
一開始要蒐證
因為我們並不懂哪些證物對我們有利哪些不重要
所已請律師陪同我們一起到現場蒐證
但律師拒絕說這不是他們的工作範圍

最近我們要跟房東解約
需要一位有利的證人在旁
能幫我們解決這件事情
又請律師陪同我們一起去和房東解約
他又說他沒辦法
我們請了律師但他卻什麼都不做
這樣合理嗎?
