對於民進黨主席蔡英文同意出任新北市長游錫堃競選總部主委，被媒體解讀「親自操刀新北滅朱說」，蔡英文今（6）日表示，她認為這種講法太戲劇性化了。

蔡英文今天前往嘉義縣創新學院，參加嘉義縣執評委宣誓就職暨五合一選舉誓師大會時，接受媒體訪問時，作上述表示。

蔡英文說，中央黨部的責任，是對2014年選舉做整體的布局，不同的縣市有不同的需求，中央黨部都會盡力協助，讓每一地方競選總部發揮最大功能。

蔡英文指出，游錫堃曾擔任她競選2012年總統的主委，這次她覺得應該替游錫堃做一些事情，所以同意擔任游的競選總部主委。

她說，希望在游錫堃的帶領下，新北市選舉可以選得非常好，尤其游錫堃有很豐富的經驗與資歷，希望在市長、議員、里長候選人的通力合作下，可以拿下最佳成績。
