總統馬英九在「119消防節」晚間，透過臉書（facebook）留言向台灣的鳳凰英雄致敬。

馬總統放上陳杰祺小隊長的照片指出，陳左腿上的傷疤，是在一場搶救行動中意外遭活埋、小腿險遭截肢，所留下的難忘印記。

總統說，褪下防火衣，陳杰祺 是太太眼中的好先生、兩個兒子的好爸爸。

馬總統強調，「我們多一分警覺，讓警消人員少一分涉險」。
