雖然 Sony Xperia Z1 和 Xperia Z Ultra 兩款旗艦級機種已納入 Android 4.4 KitKat 更新計畫，但 Sony 打算按部就班，今天宣布先為它們升上 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean 系統版本。依照官方部落格列出的重點，這次更新將提升性能表現，帶來更滑順的顯示體驗。手機內原生內建功能，包括訊息、智慧連線和 Small Apps 多視窗應用也一併升級到最新版本。而 Walkman 音樂撥放、相簿以及影片程式更加強與 Sony 自家雲端數位內容服務的整合 -- 但這對台灣朋友來說倒是比較無感囉！

此外 Xperia Z Ultra 也迎來之前僅 Xperia Z1 具備的「Smart Social Camera」功能，這個新的拍照介面能提供包括高速連拍、實景辨識和視訊直播等功能。值得注意的是，Sony 在本次更新一併帶上「Xperia in Buiness」企業安全應用，可供網管人員雲端管理支援的 Sony 裝置。我們在台灣的 Z Ultra 手機已經收到版號為「14.2.A.0.290」的更新包，跳轉過後附上一張預備更新圖。
