婦眩暈想吐　原是耳石症

【陳宏銘／屏東報導】屏東一位陳姓老婦有時出現天旋地轉、耳鳴、噁心嘔吐等症狀，一度以為年老腦病變而驚懼不已。衛生福利部屏東醫院耳鼻喉科醫師林義澤表示，不少老人家的眩暈想吐症狀，可能是俗稱「耳石症」的良性陣發型姿勢性眩暈造成，不知情的長者會誤想成腦部病變，自己嚇自己。
 
林義澤表示，耳石症的致病原因，是耳內橢圓囊內斑部上的耳石，脫落在半規管的管腔，影響半規管內的淋巴液流動引起，其治療以耳石復位術為主，它是種非侵襲性的治療，主要是利用姿勢的變換，將耳石導回原來位置，病情獲改善，就可免受天旋地轉、想吐等苦，治療成功率約八成。
