總統科學獎委員會今天公布2013年總統科學獎得獎名單，共3位得獎人獲得此項殊榮，分別為數理科學組彭旭明、生命科學組賴明詔及應用科學組盧志遠，彭旭明、賴明詔皆為中研院院士。

總統科學獎的設立是為提升台灣在國際學術界的地位，並獎勵數理科學、生命科學、社會科學及應用科學在國際學術研究上具創新性且貢獻卓著之學者，尤以對臺灣社會有重大貢獻之基礎學術研究人才為優先獎勵對象，每位得獎人將由總統親頒獎狀1幀、獎座1座及獎金新台幣200萬元。
