　　波斯王子決定踏上旅程尋找他失落的過去，途中將遇到各種與陰影和火焰相關的事件，隨著玩家的努力而讓王子得到嶄新的未來！這是一款動作類型的遊戲，玩家要幫助王子於各處尋找出路並離開追來的敵人們，關卡中會出現一些藥水與收集品，取得那些東西可能會在關卡結算時得到額外加分，打死敵人可得到金幣；另外也有計算關卡完成度，想辦法探索整個區域達成完全探索吧。

　　這款遊戲的操作方式一開始較讓人難以習慣，左邊為左右移動畫面、右邊為上下跳躍（或上下爬動），壓著畫面後再選擇方向則可讓王子跳躍，一定的區域可讓王子集氣大跳躍；遇到敵人之後會自動切換攻擊模式，左邊一樣為左右移動，右邊則變成攻擊與防禦控制。
