母親牧場是由日本產經新聞、東京鐵塔的創建者前田久吉先生所設計規劃，前田先生出生在大阪郊外的農家，生活非常困苦，小時候常常聽到母親說：「家裡要是有頭牛，日子就會好多了！」長大後，這句話總是縈繞在他心頭，而後因他深感畜牧業在日本必將占有一席之地，為了振興日本畜牧業斥資建造了這座牧場，並命名「母親牧場」，表示將牧場獻給他已去世的母親。

母親牧場位於鹿野山山頂，在千葉縣頗具知名度，且在日本關東地區幼稚園遠足勝地排行榜中連續11年都拿第1，當天前往參觀時，也遇到一大群小朋友，甚至有台灣森林小學遠赴此地校外教學呢，可見不只當地小朋友喜愛，同時也是台灣小朋友的遠足勝地！

【大紀元2013年10月09日訊】（大紀元記者韓婕綜合報導）為慶祝英格蘭足球總會成立150週年，在威廉王子的建議下，白金漢宮星期一破天荒首度在後花園舉行足球賽，邀請英國歷史最悠久的兩支業餘足球隊競技，威廉告誡球員：「別把窗戶踢破了。」

這是白金漢宮成立308年以來首度舉行足球賽。威廉王子目前擔任英國足球總會（Football Association）會長，邀請倫敦金融城的公務員足球隊與倫敦西區的理工學院足球隊在白金漢宮花園比賽，由曾在2010年南非舉行的世界盃足球賽擔任裁判的韋布（Howard Webb）擔任裁判。

威廉王子對前來觀球的嘉賓說，白金漢宮在英國人心中印象深刻，是舉行慶祝活動的最佳地點。白金漢宮以前也舉行過不少其他類型的活動，但從未舉行過足球賽。

據英國廣播公司（BBC）報導，公務員足球俱樂部是自1863年10月26日英格蘭足總成立之初至今仍然倖存的唯一球隊，其比賽對手理工學院俱樂部球隊是1875年成立的。

在球賽中場休息時，主辦方安排穿著正式禮服的王宮侍從以銀盤為球員送上橙子、水和巧克力，令球員大感驚奇。

女王並未出席觀看球賽。比賽結果是：理工學院俱樂部以2:1擊敗對手公務員足球俱樂部。

【郭美瑜／台北報導】北市議員林世宗今開記者會表示，民眾陳情北市第2殯儀館拜飯服務費悄漲1倍，經他查察，殯葬處今年5月將第1、2殯拜飯區及便利商店服務委託北市私立勝利身障潛能發展中心辦理，不僅年租金僅60萬元，每日拜飯費還由50元漲為100元，他本月走訪殯儀館，發現服務人員與常人無異。林質疑，殯葬處假公益委外之名，行漲價之實，且市府委託身障團體經營拜飯服務卻僅規定聘雇2成身障人士，比率太低。

殯葬處長吳坤宏表示，服務區租金依市產規定辦理，拜飯菜色加入葷食選擇，並增加甜點，品質提升；殯葬處依委外機構提供名冊，每月不定期查核進用狀況，未發現違規，且部分障別人士外觀與常人無異。因常人已不願意在殯儀館服務，才與北市勞動局討論，訂出2成的身障人士進用比率，但2年後招標時，可再討論進用比率。

【寶智華／雲林報導】雲林縣政府社會處長丁彥哲家中又遭蛇入侵！今早要上班前，驚見黏鼠板黏著一條長約25公分的小蛇，身體約一半被黏著，把妻子陳青妙嚇得花容失色，丁要移動黏鼠板時，蛇身上半部約8公分沒被黏住的部位，突然豎起，張口扭動起來，倒在黏鼠板上，這個掙扎動作把丁也嚇到了，改用掃帚把黏鼠板推到屋外草堆旁。

夫妻2人被嚇得失神，丁把手機忘在妻子車上，陳到辦公室後才發現自己踩著拖鞋上班，她說這是家中3天內第2次遭蛇侵入，真是太恐怖了。
