美國海軍軍令部長葛林奈特今天指出，美國軍機遭中國戰機攔截事件不致影響雙邊關係，美方將繼續於國際空域飛行，並就此與中方對話。

葛林奈特（Jonathan Greenert）在華府智庫卡內基國際和平研究院舉行的「亞太再平衡」研討會，就日前美中軍機在南海近距離遭遇指出，他關切這種非專性行為未來還會發生，美方詳實記錄意外過程，事實是美國海軍巡邏機在國際空域飛航，距離中方海岸數百哩遭到攔截。

他指出，這場意外不符合美中雙方未來在空中接近如何處理的原則，多數類似事件雙方會專業處理，例如俄羅斯飛機接近美方空域，美機會攔截；飛行器航行安全還有許多規則要遵循，大部分機師都瞭解，這不該發生。

葛林奈特強調，事件不致影響美中關係，美方將繼續於國際空域飛行，並與中方對話，他之後也會在紐波特紐斯（Newport News）活動中，再與來訪的大陸解放軍海軍司令員吳勝利討論。

他說，美方無意停止行動，美國軍機在國際空域飛行，中國軍機也曾飛入美國經濟海域，美方認為這沒什麼大不了，前蘇聯於冷戰期間也在國際空域活動，這不是什麼新鮮事。(中央社)
