請問如租屋契約已到期想搬家，但一直找不到適合的房子，該如何處理呢?

我的租約已在5月到期，
先前也跟房東說過想要搬家，
但房東希望我們可以在6/30前搬，
不然就要等到鬼月以後再搬，
關於這點我們也同意了，
但這段時間我們一直都找不到合適的房子，
所以，看來6月底前是搬不了了，
因此，我們也就想說過七月以後再找吧!
但今天房東又突然說要再跟我們簽約，
我該怎麼辦呢?
我實在不想再住一年啊!
請問有什麼好辦法可以解決嗎?
