德國納粹時期的最年長猶太倖存者艾莉絲赫兹桑默（Alice Herz-Sommer），23日在英國倫敦一間醫院逝世，享壽110歲。家人表示，赫兹桑默21日入院，23日早上離世。

赫兹桑默是位出色鋼琴家，1943年與丈夫和兒子一同從捷克布拉格被送到堤里茲(Terezin)集中營。二戰期間，約140,000猶太人被送往該集中營，33,430人死在那裡。約88,000人被送到奧斯威辛等集中營，多數性命不保。1945年堤里茲集中營獲蘇軍解放，倖存者不到2萬人，赫兹桑默一家三口都幸運存活下來。

在堤里茲集中營，被囚者獲准舉行音樂會，赫兹桑默經常參演。她曾說：「這些音樂會，人們坐在那裡，有老人，有無依病弱的人，他們都出席音樂會。這些音樂是大家的食糧。我們靠演奏音樂而活着。」

赫兹桑默的人生被拍成紀錄片《The Lady in Number 6: Music Saved My Life》，獲提名角逐今屆奧斯卡最佳紀錄短片獎。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
