前副總統呂秀蓮上午說，桃園縣即將升格，她認為全台行政區應重新畫分為六都一區，包括台北都（北北基宜）、桃園都（桃竹苗）、台中都（中彰投）、台南都（雲嘉南）、高雄都（高高屏）、台東都（花東）及離島特別行政區（金馬澎）；她也提出「搶救中山足球場．改設多功能育樂園區」的主張，元旦將和紀政一起健行響應此運動。
