世界男網排名第二的約克維奇在巴黎名人賽成功奪冠，以7：5、7：5驚險擊敗西班牙好手佛瑞爾，也保住爭取年終球王的希望。

約克維奇開賽和佛瑞爾呈現底線對抽大戰，兩人互不想讓，但失誤較少的佛瑞爾先破發。

佛瑞爾第一盤在5：3領先時要發球拿下，但可惜此時小約回神，連拿4局反而逆轉。

第二盤戲碼相同，小約開局就被破，但又從3：5連拿4局逆轉，直落二搶下冠軍。

小約贏球後，有機會搶得年終球王寶座，他將在ATP倫敦年終賽和納達爾競爭世界第一。
