外交部發言人高安今(22)日表示，台菲第一次漁業會談目前正在台北舉行。本次會談的主要目的，就是希望能落實雙方在6月14日第一次預備會議達成的共識，並提升未來進一步制度化協商。

行政院農業委員會副主委胡興華21日在立院表示，台菲漁業會談力拚10月以前召開，當時外交部還不願證實，但今日隨即改口，強調目前會談已在台北進行，而且不是預備會議。

高安表示，台菲漁業會談希望能進一步落實第一次預備會議所達成的各項共識，當然也希望能更進一步地落實未來制度化的協商，由於會談還繼續在進行，因此她不便透露任何細節，但會在結束後對外詳細說明。

至於本次會談的與會代表，高安表示，包括台菲漁政、海巡和外交等相關單位。

她強調，「廣大興28號」事件發生以來，政府一直在與菲律賓交涉磋商，其中最大目標之一就是要保障台灣漁民的作業權益與安全，並建立漁業作業秩序。
