【王覺一／綜合報導】紅襪今天正式宣布，後天開打的世界大賽將由左投雷斯特(John Lester)先發打頭陣，迎戰客隊紅雀王牌投手溫萊特(Adam Wainwright)。至於第2戰的先發投手，雙方總教練仍守口如瓶。
 
世界大賽前2場在紅襪主場，3至5戰移師國聯紅雀主場，取消指定打擊，投手必須親自打擊。紅襪總教練法瑞爾(John Farrell)已決定，指定打擊「老爹」歐提茲在國聯主場將鎮守一壘，原一壘手拿坡里(Mike Napoli)將留在板凳待命。
