中國公開賽／拍落美國搭檔 謝淑薇、彭帥四強到位

再一勝，謝淑薇與彭帥就取得二度在中國公開賽爭冠的機會，海峽組合以6-2、7-6（4）擊敗美國組合Raquel Kops-Jones與Abigail Spears 叩關四強。

謝淑薇與彭帥曾在2009年奪下中國公開賽女雙冠軍，兩人也是睽違4年後再度闖進四強，能不能再複製當時的榮耀，要先過Vera Dushevina與Arantxa Parra Santonja這一關。

2007年，謝淑薇與莊佳容就曾在中國公開賽女雙封后，當時中國公開賽還未升格成WTA最高等級巡迴賽事，若薇帥配順利奪冠，謝淑薇將是三度在此捧盃。

另一組海峽女雙的組合詹詠然與鄭潔，則在稍早的比賽中，以4-6、1-6敗給辛巴威與印度的組合Cara Black、Sania Mirza，止步於八強。詹詠然與妹妹詹皓晴為2013年東亞運國手。
