　國民黨中央發言人殷瑋表示，辯論不是政治人物給政治人物機會，是全民給馬英九總統與民進黨主席蘇貞昌機會。民進黨立委蔡其昌卻稱辯論是蘇貞昌給馬總統機會，根本是失言。民進黨過去因內部決策反覆，導致國是會議破局，失去朝野對話機會，非常可惜，希望蘇貞昌勇敢接受全民檢驗，不要再預設前提、門檻，讓兩岸服貿協議辯論，順利進行。
