國內每年新增上萬名肺癌患者，在台灣，女性肺癌患者有九成不吸菸，男性肺癌患者則有25%不吸菸，國衛院研究不吸菸肺癌患者的危險因子，發現有肺癌家族史、有結核病史、罹患肺癌的風險是一般人的兩倍以上，工作場所有二手菸暴露則會提高1.5倍。

舞蹈家羅曼菲、帽子歌后鳳飛飛等人雖然都不吸菸，卻都死於肺癌。對於難纏的肺癌，由聯合報系、中央研究院合辦的「健康高峰論壇」，今天進行第二天的議程，上午邀請專家探討。

國家衛生研究院群體健康科學研究所所長熊昭表示，吸菸仍是導致肺癌最重要的危險因子，但台灣等亞洲國家，不吸菸的肺癌人數仍然很多，國衛院收集各逾千人的病例組、對照組，研究不吸菸肺癌患者生活中的危險因子。發現不吸菸者，若一等親有肺癌家族史，罹患肺癌的風險是一般人的2.6倍。

若有肺結核病史，則是一般人的2.9倍。另外，「煮」婦們的廚房油煙暴露，也是一個重要危險因子。煮的次數越多，肺癌風險越高，但如果能使用抽油煙機，則可以降低43%的肺癌機率。
