【劉榮輝／台南報導】台南1名吳姓男子（29歲）與交往2年陳姓女友感情生變，最近女友提議分手，吳男欲挽回，今天凌晨談判不成，買了50公升汽油跑到女友住處，一邊與女友在電話中爭論，一邊潑油點燃自焚，女友隔著鐵門聽到轟然巨響，趕緊報案搶救，吳男當場燒死樓梯間，女友蔡姓鄰居聞到濃濃汽油味開門查看，被火燙傷手腳和臉送醫急救，全身有百分之20燙傷面積，目前在燒燙傷中心觀察，沒有生命危險。

王福義解釋香港郊野公園成功之道。「香港的最大優勢，是劃定得早， 1976年通過， 1977年開始劃， 1979年已劃了二十一個郊野公園。如果不是劃定得早，很可能早沒有了。」

起樓的人，樂見拆卸重建，唯種樹的人，望樹苗生生不息。
王福義是種樹的人。退休前，他是漁護署助理署長，主責建立郊野公園，前後三十年。六十年代的郊野，還隨處可見光頭山，當下的漫山遍綠，出自人手。「背着幾十磅樹苗上山植樹，等落雨天才出動，因為水分充足。」
王福義參與各種學術會議，香港那佔地四成的郊野公園，一直是國際推崇的案例，他沒想到，香港政府要帶頭自毀建屋，更沒想到，在某些地產商眼中，這叫愚蠢。「在漁護署沒聽過這說法，過去只會話接近郊野公園範圍的環評條例，要更嚴格。」
無堅不摧的發展硬道理，遇上郊野最後防線，這場攻防戰，來得太早，事關香港還未山窮水盡。「麥理浩講過，山嶺海灘屬於大多數人，高爾夫球場和遊艇則為少數人所擁有。從這個角度看，要保留郊野公園，還是保留高爾夫球場，其實好清楚，這是一個價值判斷，究竟政府以乜為先呢？」
