小米手機 MI 2S 在 10 月 16 日傳出爆炸案例，新浪微博用戶「龜仙女」表示，同事在今年 6 月購入的 小米手機 MI 2S 發生自燃，辦公室現場彌漫一股燒焦惡臭味，除了同事的包包燒毀外，就連手指也被灼傷，在事後上傳了一組圖片，證明此一事件的發生。由於當事人當時將小米手機 MI 2S 放入包包中，而手機在爆炸之後，也造成包包部分毀損、手指燙傷；當事人指稱，所持有的小米手機 MI 2 來源為小米中國官網，擁有購買記錄與發票，電池從未使用過。小米公司在事後已與當事人聯繫上，並且表示將對此一件事件展開調查，據了解小米手機 MI 2S 電池所採用的電蕊計有 SAMSUNG、Sony、LG 等不同的供應商。雖然目前不確定事故原因為何，不過由於小米手機已在今年 4 月進入台灣市場，加上獲得消費者高度討論與不少好評，因此期盼小米方面能夠盡快釐清真相。

【大陸中心╱綜合外電報導】香港電影導演會、電影編劇家協會、電影製作行政人員協會等多個組織舉行聯合記者會，抗議政府審批免費電視牌照程序欠缺透明度，對王維基的香港電視不獲發牌感到遺憾，擔心香港創意工業繼續倒退。

電影工作者總會會長吳思遠強調，這次事件並非單單支持某人或某個電視台，他指事件已變成社會事件。他認為目前香港的電視製作一潭死水，無論技術及創意等都落後電影五至七年，而電視行業是電影業的中流砥柱，因為很多導演和演員均由電視行業出身，電影業為良心，有義務發表反對意見，希望為創意工業下一代提供機會。

香港電影導演會會長爾冬陞則對香港電視不獲發牌，深感不滿和疑惑，他認為政府增發免費電視牌照的原意，是要增加電視業的競爭，但審批過程黑箱作業，擔心電視節目質素最終無法提升。他又不滿政府無交代不發牌的理據，打擊行業員工的生計和士氣，此舉亦猶如「逼市民上街」，是非常不智的做法。
