Bill Gates 在日前接受了英國《金融時報》的採訪，採訪的話題圍繞著他的慈善事業和對網際網路的看法展開。Bill Gates 在採訪中表示，研究治療瘧疾的疫苗遠比網際網路的一些項目來的重要，對於一些生活水準低下的國家來說，治療兒童們的疾病讓他們生活的更好比讓50億人透過網際網路連接到一起有意義的多。

作為網際網路的前輩之一，Bill Gates 在卸任微軟的 CEO 之後專心致力於慈善事業。雖然這並不影響他世界首富的地位，但是對於網際網路卻有著不一樣的態度。Bill Gates 更加專注於解決世界人民最基本的問題，比如衣食住行，比如上面提到的瘧疾。而他所說的讓50億人連接網際網路的事情來自於前些日子 Facebook 帶頭成立internet.org，聲稱要為欠發達地區的50億人謀福利。以及 Google 用氣球給偏遠地區的人們帶來網際網路連接。在提到這兩個話題的時候，Bill Gates 表示「如果你說發展網際網路和解決人類疾病問題哪個重要，我會說網際網路不能拯救人類，但是消除疾病可以拯救人類。說應該優先發展網際網路簡直就是一個笑話。」「如果你得了瘧疾，那麼死的時候可能會看到天上的氣球。（指的是Google發展的氣球計劃）」

通常在事業上達到頂峰的人，在從事業上退下之後，都會專注一些不一樣的事情，或者是自己關注的事情。比如BlackBerry 的創始人 Mike Lazaridis 就在辭去 CEO 和股東的職位後致力於建立自己的科學實驗室，為了世界的科學家提供更好的環境和資源。Bill Gates 的說法無可厚非，人類總是需要優先解決最基本的需求。但是對於另外一部分人來說，是不是應該等待著消除疾病之後再去發展網際網路呢？是不是對於不同的人群來說，發展網際網路和消除疾病都是最重要的事情。

食用油標示不實一再出現，台中市長胡志強曾說「台中市沒有黑心商人」，結果隔天就爆出福懋油脂有問題。胡志強今天說，社會在食品安全的信任感蕩然無存，他擔心還有未爆彈，當初切結過的十多家廠商，都將重新查驗。

大統問題油爆發後，台中市衛生局稽查轄內十多家食用油廠商，同時要求切結，福懋油脂拒絕稽查，但簽署切結書，沒想到隔天就爆出，福懋油脂有六項油品標示不實。

胡志強說，當初福懋油脂切結，絕對沒有黑心商品，市府信任業者，沒想到「你給我承諾還犯規」，市府已開罰千萬元，未來只要切結過卻說謊，絕對採取重罰。

胡志強說，全國GMP標章或廠商切結都不可信，商人為了賺錢，可以如此淪落，不能讓食品安全的最後一道防線崩壞於此，過去罰款都從最低標準罰起，但長久以來不具效果，未來會採取重罰，商人更要有良心，努力恢復製造者與消費者之間的信任。

【蔡進男／基隆報導】上網賣眼鏡，差點吃上官司！基隆市20歲楊姓女子與37歲廖姓女子合作，在網路上販賣隱形眼鏡，楊女接到買家訂單後，再向中國友人購買價格較低廉的隱形眼鏡販售，藉此賺取價差。2名女子被調查局基隆市調查站依違反《藥事法》逮捕，訊後移送法辦。

2女辯稱，並不知道隱形眼鏡屬於醫療器材，因為看到網路上有人販賣，所以才會想藉此賺錢；檢方認為眼鏡行林立，都有販售隱形眼鏡，且許多明星在電視上大力推銷，卻不見有任何警語，一般民眾不會知道隱形眼鏡屬於醫療器材，而不得任意販賣，衛生主管機關有義務再加強宣導。全案偵結，以不起訴處分。

【吳國仲／北市報導】今天清晨4時許，BMW台北汎德濱江服務廠傳出火警，保全人員聽見警報器作響，查看後發現5樓有冒煙狀況，趕緊撥打119報警。

台北市消防局獲報後，立即派遣人車前往救援，發現濃煙是從5樓的空壓機房傳出，警消出動雲梯車從空中射水，也派人員從大樓內部灌救，短時間便將火勢撲滅，並未造成人員傷亡，初步估計燃燒面積約2坪，起火原因仍待進一步調查。
