洋基想延續連勝的氣勢，不敵老虎隊適時安打蠶食搶分。儘管Jacoby Ellsbury單場轟出2發全壘打，但洋基打線就只有他發揮，終場2比5落敗，中斷近期的5連勝。

老虎先發投手Rick Porcello此役面對近況火燙的洋基仍不畏懼，主投8局，雖然只有2次三振，但製造了大量滾地球換得出局數，滾飛比14比2，被擊出9安只失掉2分，拿下本季第15勝(8敗)，跟隊友Max Scherzer並列美聯勝投王。

「在職業生涯我很努力，我為我的在球場上的成績滿到驕傲，」Porcello說，「我希望能繼續保持得更好，我不認為我已經達到我所想要的那份結果，但目前最重要的還是要幫助這支球隊進入季後賽。」

洋基對此役由近況絕佳的Brandon McCarthy先發，但在第2局滿壘時投出保送，免費奉送老虎1分，3局再被擊出安打失掉第2分，安然度過2局後，6、7局再因連續安打失分而退場。

洋基隊打線在前8局只靠Jacoby Ellsbury的兩支陽春砲得分，即使Porcello退場，第9局面對老虎牛棚仍討不到任何便宜，因為Joe Nathan只投9顆球就讓洋基隊三上三下，拿下本季第28救援成功。

民進黨提名新北市長候選人游錫堃今(26)日與執行總幹事高志鵬、發言人羅致政及莊碩漢一同公布「新北游政」系列第2隻政策影片－公辦都更。游錫堃指出，新北市屋齡超過40年的老屋有近30萬戶，耐震係數大多相當低，如遇到大地震，後果將不堪設想。

游錫堃表示，推動公辦都更、大街廓更新是政府對市民的責任，因此在他當選市長之後將全力推動公辦都更，實現「舊厝翻新厝、免費送車位、厝邊有公園」，以提升市民生活品質。

游錫堃批評新北市長朱立倫，說他在上次競選新北市長時曾說公辦都更是「緩不濟急」，故將以民辦為主，結果4年來都更僅1件，而民辦也只完成1案，公辦更是掛零；至於「所謂的簡易都更說穿了只是公寓改建」，不會有大街廓都更帶來的公園綠地，也沒有都市景觀的煥然一新。游錫堃強調，新北市民辦都更寸步難行，應該推行公辦都更。

游錫堃說，世界先進國家如歐美日本的都市更新，多半由政府主導完成，而他可以理解為人子女想免去雙親爬樓梯的辛苦，以及想讓孩子擁有快樂成長環境的願望，並避免每日陷於爭搶車位的生活。因此，他向新北市民呼籲，「朱立倫不做，游錫堃來做！」並強調他如果當市長，必定會實現對新北市民的承諾。
