【大紀元5月1日報導】（中央社倫敦30日綜合外電報導）英國泰晤士報高等教育特刊今天公布創校50年內、全球前100名大學排行榜，台灣共四所大學上榜，比去年少一所，表現最佳的是排名40的國立中山大學。

這是「泰晤士報高等教育特刊」（Times Higher Education）連續第3年發布這項創校50年內、全球前百名大學排行榜（100 under 50 2014）。

東亞大學表現搶眼，南韓、香港和新加坡在排名前五潛力大學中占相當地位。

排名前五的大學依序是南韓浦項科技大學（Postech）、瑞士洛桑聯邦理工學院（Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne）、韓國高等科學技術研究院（KAIST）、香港科技大學、新加坡南洋理工大學。

1986年成立的浦項科技大學，連續三年奪冠。

排名第六到第十的大學是荷蘭馬斯垂克大學（Maastricht University）、加州大學爾灣分校（University of California, Irvine，去年第五）、巴黎第十一大學（Universite Paris-Sud，去年第十）、巴黎第六大學（Universite Pierre et Marie Curie）、英國蘭卡斯特大學（Lancaster University）。

國立中山大學今年排名40，2012年排名第30，2013年滑落到第37，今年又降3名。

去年排名第45的台灣科技大學（2012年第55），今年排名又上升到42名。去年排名第98的國立陽明大學（2012年第95），今年晉升到96名。新進榜的亞洲大學排名第99。

共有29個國家或地區的大學躋身前百大名單，英國和澳洲各有14所大學，是最多的兩國，美國只有8所。

印度首度有大學上榜，但中國大陸和俄羅斯都沒有。

其他進榜較多的國家包括西班牙（7所）、法國（6所）、德國（6所）、加拿大（5所）和中華民國（4所）。

這項調查共使用13個指標，包括創新、教學、研究、論文引用次數、國際教職員與學生比例等。

七所1963年創校的大學今年「畢業」，無法列入評比，包括英國約克大學（University of York，去年第七）、香港中文大學（去年第12）和英國東安格利亞大學（University of East Anglia，去年第16）。

藝人小馬日前搬新家到深坑，喜事似乎帶來好運，他錄八大第一台的行腳節目《台灣第一等》時，撿到一顆40萬年前海洋生物的牙齒化石，一顆價值６位數台幣，他說：「專家尋找20年，一年有200多天在挖寶，也才找到兩顆，全台灣不到十顆。我一錄影，不到五分鐘就找到，而且完整，第一次錄影看專家整個驚嚇狀！」興奮的他也表示不會賣，另外要捐一萬行善。（路韋豪／綜合報導）

Malaysia to open new budget airport in MH370 shadow

Sepang (Malaysia) (AFP) - Malaysia this week opens what it calls the world's largest airport built specifically for low-cost airlines, a project driven by budget travel's phenomenal growth but which debuts under the shadow of missing flight MH370. The $1.2 billion facility near the main Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) was originally targeted to open three years ago but has been hit by repeated delays, amid concerns over safety and subpar construction, even as costs have doubled. But the new KLIA2 budget terminal will begin operations Friday with an initial 56 flights, increasing the load as airlines move full operations over from a nearby existing facility in coming days. Its modern design features soaring ceilings, natural lighting, people-mover belts and improved connectivity with access to an existing express airport train to Kuala Lumpur 50 kilometres (31 miles) away.
