在老布希（George H.W. Bush）辦公室發出的照片中，可以看到已經剃了大光頭的老布希坐在輪椅上，開心地抱著2歲的派崔克（Patrick）的感人畫面。

派崔克是老布希一名特勤人員的兒子，因為罹患白血病接受治療，導致頭髮掉光。

事實上，不光是老布希，整個特勤小組成員都為派崔克剃成大光頭，並計劃在下個月騎摩托車上街，希望為他籌足所需經費。老布希本人也已經捐款。

根據「時代雜誌」（Time）報導，老布希最大的女兒羅賓（Robin）在59年前，年僅4歲時死於白血病。

【綜合報導】不用擦不用噴，只要貼上它，就能防止蚊子找上你。
 
加州大學河濱分校(University of California at Riverside)和嗅覺神經實驗室共同研究，研發出一款用無毒化合物製造的貼布，可阻隔人體呼出的二氧化碳，讓蚊子無法尋獲獵物，時效可達48小時，可貼在衣服或嬰兒車等任何想避免蚊子靠近的地方。

研究人員表示，有了這款防蚊貼布，將可有效預防瘧疾傳播，根據世衛統計，2012年因瘧疾死亡的人數高達66萬，不過其他調查則顯示實際數字高達120萬人，尤其以中西非國家最嚴重，集資網站indiegogo就發起慈善募款，只要樂捐35美金，就會贈送10塊貼布到烏干達，樂捐者也會收到10塊貼布等活動。

【王家俊／台北報導】陸軍下士洪仲丘案真相未明，國防部長高華柱下午前往總統府，向總統馬英九報告軍中改革方案後舉行記者會說，已向馬總統報告檢討，共有三個方向有重大疏失，包括沒有依法行政、禁閉政策管理不當、人員急救缺失，國防部已針對政策及執行面，提出落實申訴等13項全面檢討。

每間IELTS補習班的課程期間不一定一樣耶,像我自己上的時代補習班,IELTS課程就有三個月和半年的時間可以選擇,報名前補習班顧問有先幫我做程度測驗,如果沒有達到IELTS的上課標準會再推薦一些IELTS先修課程,我測出來的英文能力頗差,所以我還有上先修,加上IELTS的先修課程大約是一年的時間,若你有預定的出國日期可以和IELTS補習班的顧問說,他們會依你的出國計畫再安排適合你的班級和IELTS課程

還有你說的IELTS模擬考,時代IELTS補習班是每個月一次,IELTS模擬考流程是和正式考一樣 非常的逼真,多參加練習就能適應IELTS考場環境和氣氛喔,因為時代補習班本身就是IDP IELTS的指定考場,所以也具有考場優勢,考完IELTS模擬考,時代補習班會提供解答.而IELTS口說和寫作的部分則是老師親自批改的,能清楚知道自己錯誤的地方,老師批改完還會提供意見給我們,看到IELTS模考成績每次都有在進步,
就覺得自己離目標不遠了!!!

至於國外研究所大約要IELTS6.5分的分數,但是會因為系所不同分數也會不一樣,要先查了解要讀的科系IELTS需求分數是多少,這樣有清楚的IELTS分數目標才容易準備,給你點小建議,要把目標分數提高,拿我自己來說學校要求的IELTS分數是6.5,IELTS的聽說讀寫也是各要6.5,我就會把目標分數提高一些全部設為7分,準備周全一點比較安心,不然考一次IELTS要台幣5100超貴的呀,再加上出國留學英文能力好一點只有好處沒有壞處.

最後推薦幾個我喜歡的IELTS老師,Garrett老師 的IELTS口說課,他會給我們很多時間練習,上課也很有趣,說話速度也不會太快,所以能聽得很清楚.IELTS讀寫課則推薦Nurdin老師他會用鼓勵的方式教導我們,並提供我們很棒的寫作idea.
